The course is about: key social, political and other humanitarian aspects and trends of the development of new information technologies in Russia; Russia's policy in the IT sphere (e-government, e-elections, international exchange of information, e-business, e-learning, network science etc.); informatization and political culture of Russian society; social aspects of using interactive web-based information systems in Russia.

The course is about international cooperation for social and humanitarian aspects of Internet development. There are two versions of this course: one for the students of the educational program "International Relations", another one for the students of the educational program "Applied Information Science in International Relations".
